Space for long items with a load-through bulkhead

The redesigned interior of the Transit Connect has more cargo space than ever. You can carry items up to 3.4 metres long and two Euro-pallets. Optional side load doors on both sides of the van make loading and unloading the van more convenient. And with smart storage locations throughout the cabin, you’ll never be short of space. The bulkhead has a flip-up hatch at the bottom, which you can slide long items through and into a storage area beneath the front passenger seats. Behind the bulkhead, there’s room for two Euro-pallets (in L1) or up to four 8’ x 4’ sheets of material (in L2).

Helping to keep you inside the speed limit

Every feature and technology in the Ford Transit Connect is designed to make your life easier. Advanced technologies, available as options on selected models, including Traffic Sign Recognition and Lane Keeping System, constantly work to help take the stress out of driving. Whilst other systems, including Active Park Assist and Adaptable Cruise Control, are activated manually to help when you need them. The Transit Connect now comes with Intelligent Speed Assist, designed to enhance your speed control and enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit. (option)

A system that can help protect pedestrians

With a comprehensive line-up of safety and security technologies, the Ford Transit Connect is designed to protect you, your passengers and your belongings. Some technologies, including Pre-Collisision Assist with Pedestrian Recognition, and Emergency Brake Assist, help to reduce the severity of an accident should one occur. Other technologies, such as anti-tamper door locks and a Thatcham Category 1 Alarm, help to keep your valuables as safe as possible. Pre-Collision Assist detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead. It can even detect pedestrians that may be about to cross the vehicle’s path. The system warns you if it detects a potential collision and if you don’t respond it will automatically apply the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 50mph (80kmh). (option)
